In February 2024, North Devon Council adopted a refreshed corporate plan for 2023-2027 which set out the council’s vision and its key corporate priorities for this four year period.
The council’s vision states that “North Devon will be a sustainable, inclusive community; fostering prosperity and well being for all.”
The corporate plan contains five key priorities and specific actions to deliver each of the priorities. The key priorities are as follows:
Financial security
Pride of Place and Prosperity
Housing
Climate and Environment
People Matter
An annual performance report has been produced which looks at progress that has been made towards our corporate plan, listing the actions achieved for each of our key priority objectives, such as securing £2m of funding to purchase three properties in Ilfracombe for social housing, purchasing additional properties for temporary accommodation, investing in Ilfracombe with the building of the new Watersports Centre and investing in Barnstaple with the Market Quarter project through the Government’s Future High Streets Fund.
North Devon Council is seeking the views of local stakeholders and residents on its performance against its key priorities within the Corporate Plan.
The survey should take about 5 minutes or less to complete with questions relating to the annual performance plan and a few about you.
The consultation took place between 23 April 2025 and 4 June 2025. The results will be published on the North Devon Council’s website and presented to the Strategy and Resources Committee on 7 July 2025.
