
NDVS Community Awards Nominations
The North Devon Voluntary Services Annual Community Awards recognise, and celebrates, outstanding contributions across volunteering, wellbeing, heritage, inclusivity and our local Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) impact across North Devon. These awards celebrate the people and projects whose dedication strengthens our community and improves local lives. Whether supporting others, protecting our shared heritage, driving positive change or delivering exceptional impact, nominees represent the very best of our community and sector.
Young Volunteer of The Year - This award recognises young volunteers (typically under 24) who go above and beyond, make a meaningful difference in their community and inspire others through their volunteering role.
Volunteer of The Year - This award recognises dedication, compassion and consistent commitment to supporting others, improving local services or strengthening community life through a volunteer role.
Fundraiser of The Year Award - Recognises an individual or group who has demonstrated creativity, determination and passion in raising funds for a cause.
VCSE Wellbeing Award - Recognises individuals or projects within the voluntary, community and social enterprise sector that make a significant contribution to improving wellbeing & tackling health inequalities.
Conservation & Heritage Award - Celebrates those who protect, preserve or promote North Devon’s natural environment, wildlife, cultural heritage or historic assets.
VCSE Organisation Impact of The Year - Honours a VCSE organisation that has delivered outstanding impact for the community over the past year.
Contribution to Inclusivity Award - Recognises individuals or groups who champion equality, accessibility and inclusion.
The Daniel Smith Lifetime Achievement Award - Presented in memory of Daniel Smith, this award honours an individual who has dedicated many years to serving their community. It recognises a lifetime of commitment, leadership and positive influence, celebrating someone whose long‑term contribution has left a lasting legacy.
When submitting a nomination, please be mindful in choosing the most appropriate category and try not to nominate the same individual across multiple categories. This helps ensure fair sector representation and supports the capacity of the awards event. Please also provide correct email addresses, as all invitations and updates will be sent electronically.
